Assuming I don't have any trouble getting my ad into the paper (for the price of a small kingdom!) or with the judge, my name change will be official as of April 3. Coincidentally, the earliest my divorce could be official is 8 days later.
Believe me, you won't have any problem with the judge. I'm not even sure a judge was present for my hearing. It was pretty much get the paper stamped and head down to the clerk or whatever to pay for copies.Oh yeah, don't forget the self-addressed stamped envelope for them to send you copies in. Why they can't just make the copies and give 'em to you right there, I'll never know.
